Overview
Trek360AI ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Trek360AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Data We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information you choose to provide.
Location Data
We collect precise GPS location data only during active tracking sessions (such as hiking, cycling, or navigation) when you explicitly start a trip. Location data is never collected in the background without your knowledge.
Usage Analytics
We collect anonymized usage data to improve our services, including pages viewed, features used, and performance metrics.
Device Information
We collect basic device information including device type, operating system, and browser type for compatibility, security, and optimization purposes.
User-Generated Content
This includes photos, videos, journal entries, trail reviews, community posts, messages, gallery albums, social links, gear inventory data, packing lists, saved routes, trip plans, and other content you create on the platform.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged in
- Remember your preferences
- Analyze usage and performance
- Improve the Service
You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Payment Information
If you make a purchase or subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). We do not store full credit card details on our servers.
Compliance & Identity Data
If you participate in earning activities that require KYC (Know Your Customer) verification, we may collect government-issued identification documents, proof of address, tax identification numbers, and identity selfie photos. This data is transmitted via encrypted connection, stored with restricted access, and retained for the legally required period (typically 5–7 years after account closure). See our KYC & Compliance Policy for full details.
Financial Activity Data
We store wallet balances, commission history, referral network data, withdrawal history, and payout method details as part of your account to provide the Wallet and earnings features.
Safety Monitoring & Sensor Data
When you opt in to Safety Monitoring, Trek360AI may access the following device sensors:
- Accelerometer & Gyroscope — Used for fall detection and inactivity monitoring. Motion sensor data is processed entirely on your device in real time. Trek360AI does not store, transmit, or retain raw accelerometer or gyroscope readings. Only the outcome (e.g., "fall detected" or "inactivity alert triggered") is used to initiate an SOS workflow.
- Microphone (Voice Activation) — When you enable Voice Activation, your device's microphone listens for specific wake phrases (e.g., "Hey Atlas", "Help me", "I fell"). Audio is processed locally on your device using the browser's Web Speech API. Trek360AI does not record, store, or transmit audio data. No audio leaves your device. Only the recognized text of a matched emergency phrase is used to trigger the SOS workflow.
- GPS & Location — During an active trek with Safety Monitoring enabled, your GPS position is used for SOS coordinate reporting (see Location Data Usage policy).
Safety Monitoring, Voice Activation, and Fall Detection are opt-in features that you must explicitly enable. They can be disabled at any time via the SOS panel or Settings. Disabling these features stops all sensor access immediately.
Battery & Performance Impact
Safety Monitoring features use device sensors and may increase battery consumption. The impact varies by device hardware and browser. Trek360AI provides battery-level monitoring and will warn you if battery is critically low during an active safety session.
