These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and contributors. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, with notice provided through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and other policies listed in the Legal section.

Safety Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Trek360AI provides navigation assistance, weather information, and safety tools as aids to outdoor activities. However:
- The Service is not a substitute for proper outdoor preparation, training, and equipment
- Users are solely responsible for their own safety decisions in the outdoors
- Trail conditions, weather, and hazards can change rapidly and may not be reflected in real-time
- AI-generated routes and recommendations should be independently verified
- Always carry appropriate safety equipment and inform others of your plans
- In emergencies, always contact local emergency services directly (e.g., 111 in NZ, 911 in US)
Trek360AI is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during outdoor activities.
Automated Safety Features
Trek360AI offers optional, opt-in safety features including Safety Monitoring (fall detection, inactivity alerts), Voice Activation (voice-triggered SOS commands), and Trek Safety Reminders (contextual safety prompts during trips). These features:
- Are assistive tools only — they are not a substitute for emergency services, personal locator beacons, satellite communicators, or other dedicated emergency hardware
- Must be explicitly enabled by the user — they do not activate automatically
- Depend on device hardware, browser capabilities, sensor availability, battery life, and connectivity
- May produce false positives (alerting when no emergency exists) or false negatives (failing to detect a genuine emergency)
- May stop functioning if the browser tab is closed, the device enters sleep mode, or the device runs out of battery
- Process sensor data (accelerometer, gyroscope, microphone) locally on your device — no audio or raw sensor data is transmitted to Trek360AI servers
Do not rely solely on these features for your safety. Always carry appropriate emergency equipment and inform others of your plans.
User Content
You retain ownership of content you create on Trek360AI. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Service.

You are responsible for any content you post and its consequences.
Uploaded Content & Media Limits
User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all files, photos, videos, and other media you upload to Trek360AI. By uploading content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it complies with these Terms.

- Illegal, explicit, violent, or graphic content
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Files intended to exploit or disrupt the platform

Upload Limits
Upload allowances — including storage capacity, monthly photo limits, video availability, and video duration — are determined by your subscription tier and enforced server-side. Specific limits are displayed on the Subscriptions page and may vary by plan.
- Free-tier users (Basecamp) have limited storage and photo uploads; video uploads are not available
- Paid plans unlock expanded storage, unlimited photos, and video upload capabilities
- Limits are enforced automatically — uploads that exceed your plan allowance will be declined with a clear explanation and upgrade path
Moderation & Removal
Trek360AI reserves the right to review, moderate, and remove any uploaded content that violates these Terms, Community Guidelines, or applicable law. Content may be removed without prior notice in cases of severe violations.
Abuse Prevention
Excessive or abusive upload behavior — including bulk automated uploads, storage abuse, or circumventing upload limits — may result in upload restrictions, account suspension, or termination.
